Here are a few key takeaways from the article. Cybersecurity needs to be a top priority and a shared goal across all areas of your health system operations. You can’t buy your way into a risk free environment. Healthcare is an industry designed around connectivity and interoperability. Third and fourth party risk needs to be given proper attention. Having a Rapid Response Plan, not only for your security operations center, but also for your enterprise leadership team, is invaluable when the tough stuff happens.

The original triple aim: patient experience, care quality, cost. Others talk about access, quality, cost. Now provider satisfaction is added to make the quadruple aim. Is ANYONE measuring? Cost? Oh, yeah, for sure. Quality? Well, we have process measures, NCQA measures intended for insurers but heaped upon providers in the ABSENCE of outcome measures. We used to measure access for ourselves as a group. So my question for the network: Are you measuring ACCESS to primary care? Are you BEING measured? I think this is very important because the talk is that access has gone to hell. In about 2017 my personal access as a family doc: 3d next available routine 15 minute appointment? Same day/next day. 3d next available complete physical exam, 2-3 days. What is it today?????
