Facing breast cancer in young women together.

About us

We are young adults facing breast cancer together. We are the international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young adults who are diagnosed with breast cancer. We offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful. Among other services, we: - Provide information, resources and support from diagnosis through long-term survivorship; - Educate and empower young adults to be their own best health advocate; - Work with healthcare providers, researchers and legislators to educate them about the unique issues young adults face, - Advocate for more research studies on breast cancer in young adults and access to quality care. Through it all, we help young adults find meaning, comfort and hope during one of the most challenging experiences of their lives. Young adults can and do get breast cancer. We are here to ensure no young adult faces breast cancer alone.

💔 It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Marlena Murphy, a beloved member of the GRASP team and one of our own. We mourn the loss of this remarkable soul who touched countless lives with her unwavering dedication and infectious smile. Her journey with GRASP began at the very inception of our organization - she was the recipient of a GRASP scholarship that gave her the opportunity to attend the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and participate in our very first poster walkthrough as a patient advocate. She quickly became a GRASP Mentor, then a member of our team as a Program Manager. Marlena poured her heart into every role she undertook. She embodied the values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering determination. Marlena was more than a colleague; she was family. Her absence will be deeply felt, and her memory will be cherished as we continue the work she has believed in so passionately. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find solace in the outpouring of love and support from all fortunate enough to know her. Rest easy, dear Marlena. Your light and smile will continue to guide us always. 🌟 The family will be celebrating her life on July 22nd, and ask people to wear pink in support. For more information on the service, please follow on Instagram — @marlena_on_ig. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a gift in support of her daughter Hadara's education.
