Thank you @GRASP for sharing and letting the world know of the life and legacy of Marlena Murphy.
💔 It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Marlena Murphy, a beloved member of the GRASP team and one of our own. We mourn the loss of this remarkable soul who touched countless lives with her unwavering dedication and infectious smile. Her journey with GRASP began at the very inception of our organization - she was the recipient of a GRASP scholarship that gave her the opportunity to attend the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and participate in our very first poster walkthrough as a patient advocate. She quickly became a GRASP Mentor, then a member of our team as a Program Manager. Marlena poured her heart into every role she undertook. She embodied the values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering determination. Marlena was more than a colleague; she was family. Her absence will be deeply felt, and her memory will be cherished as we continue the work she has believed in so passionately. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find solace in the outpouring of love and support from all fortunate enough to know her. Rest easy, dear Marlena. Your light and smile will continue to guide us always. 🌟 The family will be celebrating her life on July 22nd, and ask people to wear pink in support.
