Join us as we applaud the progress and success of our little ones. Thanks to our sponsors Zamila and Ramzan Karimi Family, USA, our advisors from USA Mali, Fariyal and Shamim and the hard work of our staff, the ECD center in Booni, Chitral Pakistan has successfully graduated over 60 students since its inception. This year, an additional 34 students have completed our Montessori Model ECD program, ready to embark on their educational journeys. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the excellent quality of education provided by the ECD Center Booni and its devoted staff. Out of these 34 students 17 applied for admission at Aga Khan School Booni which is one of the most prestigious educational institutions and successfully secured admission. This accomplishment highlights the significant impact of our collective efforts in nurturing young minds and preparing them for future success. We are happy to share an update on our English Language Skills Training for Teachers initiative, a joint effort between the Worldwide Education Fund of The Dallas Foundation (WEF), USA, and Bridge Education Group. 13 teachers have successfully completed the second phase of training, marking significant progress. Initially, we supported 08 educators from the remote valley of Booni, Chitral in Northern Pakistan. They underwent a three-month, self-paced, tutor-guided Micro Credential TEFL certification program, generously sponsored by Bridge Education Group. These teachers enhanced their skills with the help of our partners at Foundation to Empower Students (FES) in Pakistan, who provided vital technology support. FES facilitated a platform for participants to gather and discuss course content, fostering a supportive learning environment. This collaborative approach has been invaluable, offering mutual encouragement and enhancing the learning journey for all involved. Participants have provided positive feedback. "The program equipped us with valuable techniques for learning correct pronunciation, which motivated us to actively engage in the learning process," says Fariha Afsar. Encouraged by these early successes, we remain committed to our partnership with Bridge Education Group. Together, we aim to extend this opportunity to 100 teachers by 2025, furthering our impact on education. 🌟 Exciting Announcement! 🌟 Worldwide Education Fund of The Dallas Foundation (WEF), USA is happy to announce a significant milestone in its mission to advance education in Chitral, Pakistan through its collaborative efforts with Foundation to Empower Students (FES), in Pakistan and @Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education Department in Pakistan. This strategic collaboration paves the way for the launch of the transformative project, "Learning Centers: Integrating Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Technology-Assisted Language Labs" in Booni, Chitral, Pakistan. This initiative aims to elevate the educational landscape in Booni, Chitral, by seamlessly merging Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs with state-of-the-art Technology-Assisted Language Labs across 19 government schools in Booni Chitral. With 5 In-School Language Labs and 1 ECD center/ Training center, WEF/FES is impacting 1500 students. The new initiative will increase the impact to over 2,000 students attending ECD, primary and secondary schools FES has officially signed a MoU with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education Department in Pakistan. WEF is on track to grant 13 Crore Rupees ($450,000) to FES to deliver the program efficiently over the next five years. This project stands as a testament to the unwavering support of our dedicated donors. We are thrilled to announce that Worldwide Education Fund of The Dallas Foundation (WEF) achieved another milestone by securing the $50,000 grant from The Million Dollar Round Table Foundation (MDRT F) in 2023. The grant cycle was successfully completed and we were able to conclude the Global Virtual School’s fall session on a high note, with nearly 700 students across Central Asia, South Asia, and West Africa successfully completing their course. The session was marked by joy, excitement, and a thirst for knowledge. The Global Virtual School (GVS), is an innovative online learning center that provides high-quality English-language instruction to underprivileged youths in remote areas across the globe. We are incredibly grateful to MDRT F for recognizing the importance of education and its transformative power for disadvantaged communities around the globe. With this grant, we were able to enhance and broaden the impact of the Global Virtual School, reaching even more deserving students who lack access to quality education due to geographical or economic barriers and break the cycle of generational poverty across continents.
