Celebrating my five year anniversary at Woolly with...a promotion! Excited to keep dreaming and building as the Associate Director of Connectivity at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Love my job, love DC.
The Tony Award®-winning Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company creates badass theatre that highlights the stunning, challenging, and tremendous complexity of our world. For over 40 years, Woolly has maintained a high standard of artistic rigor while simultaneously daring to take risks, innovate, and push beyond perceived boundaries. One of the few remaining theatres in the country to maintain a company of artists, Woolly serves an essential research and development role within the American theatre. Plays premiered here have gone on to productions at hundreds of theatres all over the world and have had lasting impacts on the field. Currently co-led by Artistic Director Maria Manuela Goyanes and Managing Director Kimberly E. Douglas, Woolly is located in Washington, DC, equidistant from the Capitol and the White House. This unique location influences Woolly’s investment in actively working towards an equitable, participatory, and creative democracy.

Development & Admin Assistant at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company | Theatre Management, Acting, and Legal Studies student at Northwestern University
So excited to announce I've started my summer working with the wonderful people at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company as a Development & Admin Assistant! I've admired Woolly's work and artistic mission for a long time, and the opportunity to learn from their wonderful staff and artistic collaborators is a dream come true. By sheer coincidence, I'll also be participating in one of their new play workshops at Northwestern later this summer! I am profoundly thankful to all of the people who helped me find this opportunity, and can't wait to see what the summer holds!

“There’s so much about ‘Sea Mink-ettes’ that appeals to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality. Perfection can be beautiful, but holding ourselves to those unrealistic levels keeps us from having human moments. We are just as fierce in all the moments." Thank you to our friends at Washington Blade for interviewing Billie Krishawn about her experience in THE SENSATIONAL SEA MINK-ETTES and juggling theatre with philanthropic work. https://lnkd.in/dgmf5Vyg #WoollySensational #WoollySeaMinkettes #WoollyxTheBlade #BillieKrishawn
“Woolly Mammoth has made a concerted effort to always include community in its programming,” Salter says, “and not just in a happenstance or auxiliary way to the things they really want to do. It’s sort of central.” Honored and proud to work with folks at Howard University on The Sensational Sea Mink-ettes! Tickets: https://lnkd.in/eZg2fpw2 https://lnkd.in/ek3ENVPA
Woolly Mammoth was proud to receive support (money, time, and professional development) from Bloomberg Philanthropies as part of the second cohort of the Digital Accelerator Program. This allowed us to redesign our website and enhance our patron experience by adding ticket scanners. Looking forward to connecting with the next cohort!

Since 2021, our Digital Accelerator Program has empowered nearly 150 cultural organizations in the U.S. and U.K. to use technology to engage new audiences, build partnerships, and increase revenue. Collectively, the first 40 institutions that have completed the program: 🔹 Raised an additional $20 million in new revenue 🔹 Reached more than 1 million new audience members 🔹 Engaged more than 4,000 new artists and partners Now, we’re inviting more organizations in the U.S. and U.K. to join.
