About us

Wildlife Investigators Training Alliance is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization that works with international partners and governments to prevent trafficking of endangered and protected wildlife species. WITA provides extensive training and consultation services to local authorities and wildlife law enforcement agencies to combat transnational wildlife crime. We are a group of dedicated, experienced wildlife criminal investigators and biologists who bring a lifetime of applied wildlife crime investigation to fighting the trafficking of the world’s most vulnerable natural resources. We empower Game Rangers, Wildlife Police Officers, Investigators and Prosecutors with specialized skillsets that enable them to conduct thorough and complex investigations into persons and organizations who traffic in wildlife and their parts. WITA’s all-encompassing approach incorporates proven strategies and innovative techniques. We offer a suite of training options, including intelligence development, biological considerations, crime scene processing, undercover operations, digital evidence, and the pursuit of criminal network funding. WITA is not affiliated with any political organizations and is committed to protecting vulnerable wildlife populations while collaborating with NGOs and local governments to ensure that those with their “boots on the ground” have the skills and equipment to combat sophisticated, well-funded wildlife crime syndicates. WITA is a non-profit corporation. US 501(c)(3) EIN: 84-4294140
