We recognize #Juneteenth as a nation, as a state, and as critical to our work at DHS. It’s a reminder of the challenges people still face today and how those affect the work we do to best meet the needs of the people we serve. As leaders in health, our work is helping to ensure everyone has equal access to the programs and services they need to thrive. We will continue to do all we can to ensure everyone receives the care they need to live a healthy life and support well-being. We are proud to raise the Juneteenth flag today, and let it be a reminder of where we have been, where we are today, and the work we know still needs to be done moving forward.
