Great event for a great cause! We appreciate the leadership Nichole Mitchell provides in our relationship with The Cornerstone Initiative. Proud of our cornhole players Mario, Alex, Josh, Brandon, Michael and Anthony for making it to the semifinals this year! #BuildingMaterials #BuildingRelationships #BuildingCommunities
Wilson Lumber Company goes out of their way each year to support The CornerStone Initiative in our annual spring fundraiser - Cornhole for CornerStone! We could not pull off getting all of these boards on the field without their support. AND - they are serious about winning! Their teams get better every year. Y'all need to practice some more at the company picnics and come back fighting next year! Way to hang in there until the semi-finals! Nichole Mitchell - you are an incredible advocate , strong volunteer, and all around amazing human! Thank you!! We appreciate all you do for The CornerStone Initiative. Robb Wilson - we want to see you out there throwing some bags next year!

Wilson Lumber has had some pretty sharp-looking trucks over the decades. Do you remember seeing any of these big rigs on the local highways and byways? #WilsonLumber #75Years #ThrowbackThursday

Throwing it back to the '80s and '90s when Wilson Lumber hosted an annual Contractor Night. This event featured vendor booths offering exclusive discounts on products for that evening only. Attendees were treated to a BBQ dinner, with some years even including a shrimp boil. Special guests over the years included the Birmingham bluegrass trio "Three on a String," Auburn football coach Pat Dye (1981-92), Auburn quarterback Stan White (1990-93), Auburn basketball coach Cliff Ellis (1994-2004), Alabama quarterback Jay Barker (1991-94), Alabama basketball coach Wimp Sanderson (1980-92), and Auburn basketball coach Sonny Smith (1978-89). Initially held at the first truss plant on Meridian Street, the event relocated to the main store and warehouse and was later held at the Wilson Lumber truss plant in Madison. #WilsonLumber #75Years #ThrowbackThursday #BuildingMaterials #BuildingRelationships #BuildingCommunities

"Throughout those difficult years, I learned that growth is good, change is only scary if you let it be, and that uncertainty is full of possibility." Sometimes, we all need to hit pause to gain clarity and focus on strategic planning. Thank you Josh for embracing the concept of a "clarity break" and sharing what looks like a beautiful retreat to Lake Guntersville. #ClarityBreak #StrategicPlanning #LeadershipDevelopment
I decided to do an off-site retreat day at Guntersville State Park, cut off from all emails and phone calls, to dedicate to a "clarity break." A clarity break is where you step away from the business on your own, completely unplug and focus on strategic planning. I encourage everyone to put time in your planner to take a clarity break. Pencil in time at a frequency that works for you, pick a place that inspires you to do meaningful work, turn off your devices and give yourself enough time to think clearly and achieve some results. This was my first time taking a clarity break, but won't be my last. How do you prioritize taking a version of your own clarity break?
