Wilkes-Barre POWER! Monthly Networking Event Recap Thanks to everyone who came out to support our June networking event in celebration of Pride Month. Our featured organization this month was NEPA Rainbow Alliance. Established in 2004, the organization’s mission is to promote a sense of community, establish and publicize resources, facilitate communication and collaboration, provide a supportive and welcoming venue, and support equality whenever possible for the LGBT+ Community along with its supporters. We welcomed over 30 people to the event, including quite a few first-timers and returning members excited to renew their membership. This month’s speakers included: Shea Hughes – Executive Director, NEPA Rainbow Alliance Board speaker: Anthony Melf – Director of Outreach and Event Planning, Wilkes-Barre POWER! We’d like to thank Heat Bar & Nightclub for hosting us this month. Special thanks to our media sponsors Times Leader and Discover NEPA.
