Here are some progress pictures of our recently completed dam removal project, part of larger stream restoration initiatives on the Bushkill Creek in @CityofEastonPA. 🌊🐟 That freely flowing water in the bottom two photos is NOW benefiting wildlife habitat and local water quality. Like this? Our Stream Team is looking for volunteers to steward streamside areas (riparian buffers) along creeks, which waters will flow through here! More information and registration is available at https://lnkd.in/e69KBMJr 📸: Photos by our Kristie Fach, director of ecological restoration, and Kate Ebel, our senior restoration ecologist

Check this out! South Mountain and Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary are in Fig Lehigh Valley, and it’s all because of our community’s appreciation for our local natural places. The article includes photos from our talented nature preserve goers, and a gentle reminder that… “These marvels are all right in our backyard, and a visit to one of these nature preserves is a great way to spend an hour, an afternoon, or a day.”

Jewelweed is a real gem! Do you think it's because of its dazzling, bright flowers? Maybe it's because of the silvery way water glistens when it beads on its foliage. Or maybe it's because its sap can be used to relieve run-ins with poison ivy, stinging nettles, and insect bites. Whatever the reason, you can discover treasures like this gem at any of our 14 nature preserves! 📸📍 Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus, PA

Friends should always lift each other up, like our Wildlands friends- Joshua Tree Experts. They uplifted our campers and created lasting, lifelong memories connecting to nature at last week's Outdoor Skills summer camp. Thank you!
We love sharing our passion with the community and having the summer campers at Wildlands Conservancy soar to new heights! One of our tree care crews had the opportunity to donate their time to host the kid's climb today 🌳 🍬🍭 With a candy incentive at the top, most of the kids asked to climb more than twice! There was even a competition for who could get the most candy... James won capturing 36 pieces! 😀 We all had a blast - thank you Wildlands for having us back again! #CommunityInvolvement #JoshuaTreeExperts #WildlandsConservancy #Partnership #DonationServices #SummerCamp #KidsClimb #JTEGivesBack
