The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1827. PHS connects people with horticulture, and together we create beautiful, healthy and sustainable communities. PHS produces the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, a tradition dating back to 1829 that attracts approximately 250,000 visitors each year and has a $61 million economic impact on the region. Revenue from the Flower Show supports PHS's urban greening initiatives, including PHS City Harvest and the Plant One Million tree campaign.

Proud to have helped organize the Unity Dinner at Tioga Hope Park & Garden at the end of last month! Last evening(6/28/2024), I had a wonderful opportunity to attend a Community Unity dinner at Tioga, Hope Park and Garden in North Philadelphia. The Garden, located at 20th and Tioga, is a welcoming place where you can enjoy the greenery and where food is grown for the Community. It was amazing to see the community come together for an evening of fun, laughter, LIVE music and great food! Thanks to all the local chefs who gave their time and donated delicious food! Presented by SEAMAAC Neighborhood Gardens Trust The People's Kitchen The Asian American Foundation and Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) this truly was a community coming together for the betterment of a neighborhood and all who live there. The City of Philadelphia's Clean and Green Initiative plans to clean every block of the city in 2024. PHS LandCare is a huge part of the solution. For the past 20+ years, the PHS LandCare team has been revitalizing vacant lots all over Philadelphia, planting grass and trees in the wake of trash and debris. Aqua Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) have unveiled the 2024 grant recipients of their initiative, "Trees for Watersheds," to keep Southeastern Pennsylvania's waterways clean.
The PHS Community Gardens team has propagated and distributed 156,000 organic vegetable seedlings to gardens in our network, including... 🍅 tomatoes 🌶️ peppers 🍃 basil 🍆 eggplant 🥒 cucumbers 🌿 herbs and more! These seedlings will grow to feed countless families in the region, and this is just the start of our seedling distributions for the season! #PHSCommunityGardens
