Want to transition to a full-time sustainability role at your workplace? That's exactly what Bernard Wiley did after graduating from the WorkforClimate Academy. When he first undertook the course, Bernie was working in logistics at Who Gives A Crap. But armed with his new knowledge and a whole lot of determination, he soon transitioned into a full-time role in sustainability and helped steward the company's switch to 100% renewable energy, starting with rooftop solar at their warehouses. Bernie tells us how he and his team pulled off an impressive (and cheeky) solar installation that garnered world-wide headlines, and how it's benefited the company since. Some people take issue with our boxes – namely the giant "Crap" written on them. So we came up with some ways to conceal the fact that people use toilet paper.

Wolf of Wall Street, except it's about toilet paper and good impact instead of stocks and greed or whatever. Leonardo DiCraprio is right to be a fan, because we donate 50% of our profits to help provide toilets and clean water in the developing world. So far we've raised AUD $13,378,250, and when you purchase our TP, you’re adding to that tally.

This is a huge win for us, essentially eliminating our emissions from electricity use in the UK, and reducing our carbon footprint by 155 tonnes of CO2e each year. The solar panels offer a long-term solution - as we grow, our emissions won’t. Short-term, our goal is to have all our warehouses globally powered by 100% renewables by the end of FY25.

While billionaires are busy chucking cars into space and taking their midlife crises to the moon, we're gearing up to do something truly meaningful. Going where no toilet paper has gone before.
