Last week, WAFA attended the #AFSH24 (African Fertilizer and Soil Health Summit) in Nairobi, Kenya. As the leading voice for the #fertilizer industry within the private sector in West Africa, we are honored to have participated in several pivotal meetings and engaged in numerous side events. These gatherings provided an invaluable platform for dialogue, allowing us to further our commitment to the sustainable production, distribution, and use of #fertilizers across the region. Our involvement in these forums is a testament to our dedication to enhancing #agricultural #productivity while adhering to the highest standards of environmental stewardship and regulation compliance. The discussions held during these meetings were centered around critical issues affecting the fertilizer industry, including market access, regulatory challenges, and innovation in fertilizer production and application technologies. We actively contributed our expertise and insights, advocating for policies and practices that support the growth of the sector in a sustainable manner. The emphasis on regulation was particularly significant, as it serves as the backbone for ensuring that fertilizers meet quality standards, thereby safeguarding soil health, crop yields, and ultimately food security in West Africa. Our participation in these engagements not only underscores our role as a key voice for the fertilizer sector but also reinforces our commitment to collaborating with stakeholders across the agricultural value chain. By working together, we aim to foster a regulatory environment that promotes innovation, ensures product quality, and contributes to the economic development of West Africa. We are grateful for our partner's support.
