Today marks a significant milestone for #WestAfrica and the #Sahel as we officially open the Regional Hub for Fertilizer and Soil Health at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Headquarters in #Ibadan, #Nigeria! The Hub brings together a diverse coalition of expertise from CGIAR Excellence in Agronomy Initiative, International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI), UM6P - Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, #ECOWAS #CEDEAO and The The World Bank. In a groundbreaking ceremony with key food systems stakeholders, we signed pivotal agreements with IITA and ECOWAS, represented by Dr. Simeon Ehui, Director-General for IITA and Reg. Dir. for Continental Africa for CGIAR and Mrs. Massandjé TOURE-LITSE, ECOWAS Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture.
