#OnEnterpriseDevelopment: The World Is Ours🍀🍀 I just finished reviewing and evaluating ten powerful project applications from across Africa, assigned to me as a #RegionalExpert from SubSaharan Africa by International Prize WE ARE TOGETHER. What a fulfilling experience so far! As I was going through these applications, I was, strongly, reminded of the innovativeness, the creative confidence and the powerful call/answer-to-action demonstrated by Africans for Africans. Such incredible initiatives with immense power to transform our communities for the better. Through this experience, my mind travelled across Africa (the Sahel Region, Middle East/North Africa, SubSaharan Africa) to Togo, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo (twice), Tanzania (twice), Algeria, Uganda, Gabon and the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). As I mind travelled, I could empathize, I could imagine the challenges in those communities and the relevance of the solutions being implemented to alleviate these challenges. For those moments, I was one of them and I could relate. What a time to be alive to create positive, meaningful and lasting impact in our communities. Thank you International Prize WE ARE TOGETHER and Ekaterina Zhukovskaia for the opportunity to shape the world. Let Us Be The Generation✨💫 We Are The Generation🍀🍀 #TheAfricanWildfire

  • 🌟 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐀𝐓-𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐰! 🌟 Representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Russia recently convened in Moscow for a significant program focusing on critical issues within the nonprofit sector, particularly eco-friendly practices and inclusion. This event underscored our core values of support, cooperation, and sustainable development. During the gathering, the WAT family visited an innovative center for children with special needs and an eco-center to explore environmental practices in parks and forests. This experience enriched our understanding and strengthened our commitment to sharing knowledge and resources. A pivotal aspect was the exchange of experiences, highlighting funding challenges in the nonprofit sector. Platforms for finding fundraisers were discussed, crucial for attracting resources. For instance, in Uzbekistan, inclusion remains a challenge, with children often facing barriers to mainstream schools. Similar projects and challenges emphasized the need for immediate networking and sharing best practices. Uzbekistan is pioneering audio description services, while Russia has established standards and laws in this area. Tajikistan is forming parent organizations, an area where Russia has experience. Kyrgyzstan focuses on educating children with disabilities, with insights on resource classes and inclusive education. Belarus is advancing inclusive fashion, reflecting a trend in Russia. To foster cooperation, we proposed acting as a concierge service at the next forum, gathering contact needs and organizing targeted networking with Russian NGOs. This gathering highlighted collaboration, shared growth, and the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩, 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. 🌍✨ For NGOs, this event provided a platform for cooperation, helping adapt methods and technologies for greater impact. Openness to share resources and strategies showcased our network’s strength and potential for future collaborations. Embracing unity and support, we can overcome challenges and make strides in our mission.
