Establishing a sense of affinity among people creates a powerful synergy that transcends individual contributions. Building strong connections means forming meaningful, trust-based relationships that act as vital support networks. These connections provide emotional support, shared resources, and valuable knowledge. The importance of strong connections lies in their ability to enhance personal and professional growth, foster collaboration and innovation, and create a sense of belonging. They mitigate feelings of isolation, open up career advancement opportunities, and contribute to overall well-being. Strong connections enrich our lives, making us more resilient and successful in achieving our goals. At JMI, we believe that these connections bring immense value to our clients and partners. By fostering robust relationships, we create a collaborative environment where shared insights and resources lead to innovative solutions and mutual success. How can we help you build stronger connections to achieve your goals?

Holidays are a great time to catch up, have fun, relax... and share stories! Especially if you've got the family together for the first time in a while, it's a chance to make sure those family histories and those often undertold stories about heritage and culture get shared, passed down and preserved. Well, if you're from the Williamsburg area -- or know someone who is -- this is a great opportunity for you to participate in an incredible story sharing initiative, as part of the City of Williamsburg, Virginia African American Heritage Trail. JMI and Share More Stories are partnering with the City and the African American Heritage Trail Advisory Committee to collect family and personal stories related to African American heritage, history and culture in and around Williamsburg. If you have a story to share, please visit the project on the #SEEQ Platform https://lnkd.in/eWACEZtS  -- just click, register and share! See the flyer below for more information, and please pass along. We look forward to your story, which will help us ensure that the City of Williamsburg African American Heritage Trail deeply reflects the Community’s stories and experiences, and a more inclusive telling of Williamsburg’s history, overall. Because we appreciate people's time and effort in sharing their stories, the first 50 submissions will receive a $50 gift card as a thank you for their participation. (Please note: while all submissions are welcome, submissions must meet certain requirements of the story prompt in SEEQ in order to be eligible for the incentive. Details are available below and on the project page in SEEQ.) #FourthOfJuly #Williamsburg #History #Heritage #Culture

A community is a group of people who share something in common, whether it's a place, an identity, or values. In today's dynamic business landscape, the strength of a company or organization is often rooted in its communities—both internal and external. Engaging these communities meaningfully is crucial for sustainable success and growth. A cohesive and motivated internal community fosters innovation, collaboration, and a positive work environment. Employees who feel valued and connected are more productive and committed to the company’s vision. Building strong relationships with customers, partners, and the broader community enhances brand loyalty and trust. It opens doors for feedback, innovation, and long-term partnerships that drive growth. How do you keep your teams and customers consistently engaged? Are you effectively communicating your values and goals? How do you create lasting and impactful relationships? By addressing these challenges head-on, you can create a thriving ecosystem that supports both individual and collective success.

Earlier this week, several members of the JMI team had the privilege of attending a HYPE: Helping Young Professionals Engage event, organized by our Director of Account Management, Brelan Hillman. The event centered around economic and community development in our region and offered excellent networking opportunities alongside a robust and nuanced discussion. We enjoyed hearing from the distinguished panel, including Meghan Welch from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Jer'Mykeal McCoy, MPS from the City of Richmond Department of Economic Development, and Daniel Strait from 3North, with Ted Elmore from BridgeParkRVA moderating. The panelists shared invaluable insights on current and upcoming economic and community development initiatives. They also provided their perspectives on how young professionals can actively contribute to shaping our community's future. It was an inspiring and informative evening, reinforcing the importance of civic engagement and the impact we can all have in our community.

Unshared stories = disconnected wisdom, so tell me yours and I'll tell you mine. Hope is revelatory. I blast hip hop in my minivan and I wear my vulnerability on my sleeveless denim shirt.

Thank you, Amy Morgan for inviting me to share insights with AMA Richmond yesterday! I enjoyed the opportunity to talk about how brands and destinations can better include and amplify multicultural voices in their brand and marketing strategies — especially those whose voices have been ignored, excluded or overlooked. This is intentional work and I’m here for it! And thanks for these awesome glasses from Mongrel RVA! 😍 I don’t drink alcohol anymore but these “pint glasses” will be filled with other tasty cool beverages this summer! And this is a fun and timely way me to show my support for Richmond’s #1 ranking in CNN’s list of best towns to visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shout out to Richmond Region Tourism Greater Richmond Partnership, VENTURE RICHMOND, INC., and ChamberRVA, for the work you are doing to help us keep the “best” part while we drop the “kept secret” part — and doing so in an inclusive way that celebrates the cultures that have always been part of who we are. 😀 This city and this region are making incredible progress across multiple fronts — from tourism and economic development, to tech, arts and culture, as we seek a broader pathway to thriving for all. And, we have work to do to make sure we are inclusive of everyone’s voice and lived experience in that endeavor. The more we include, the more we thrive together. The more we face our past, the more we can have a stronger future together. Richmond is home for our family - has been since 2003. I’m proud that JMI has called Richmond home for 30+ years and that Share More Stories has called it home for the last 10. I’m grateful to be part of this community, and hopefully making a meaningful contribution as we help bring people along, together. ❤️ #RVA #virginiaisforlovers #multicultural #inclusion
