We are incredibly excited to share our 2024-2028 Strategic Plan: Bending the Arc. This is our blueprint for realizing the long-term potential of the children we serve and the communities where we work. Together, we are bending the arc toward equity for every child, every family, every community. We are building something that doesn’t exist anywhere else. Read more: https://lnkd.in/g82R9s85
About us
Originally founded as Harlem RBI, DREAM traces its beginnings to 1991, when a group of volunteers transformed an abandoned, garbage-strewn lot into two baseball diamonds for the youth of East Harlem. Over three decades later, we serve thousands of children across East Harlem and the Bronx through a network of free DREAM Charter Schools and afterschool and summer programming. From our schools to our playing fields, DREAM is committed to building a team where each individual can bring their full identity and experience to work because representation matters. We are dedicated to creating a world where youth, especially youth of color, have permission to dream—along with the tools and opportunities to make their dreams reality.

Huge congrats to Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction Adam Feiler, Associate Director of Middle School Humanities Kadesha Glasgow, and Network Director of Curriculum and Instruction: STEM Denise Barilar, who presented today at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ annual conference! The team’s session focused on how DREAM is harnessing AI to better support our teachers and students. Thank you all for representing DREAM! 👏 #ncsc24
Had a great time co-presenting with Denise Barilar and Kadesha Glasgow around how to drive adaptive and technical work to harness AI for teacher development. Amazing group of educators joined us to see some scoring and data responsive chatbots in action, break down self-limiting and productive mindsets about AI, and practice with some prompt engineering best practices! #NCSC24
