Always a pleasure to welcome Football Beyond Borders into our London office, who were with us last week for a Challenge Day. Football Beyond Borders work with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage who are passionate about football but disengaged at school. The UK-based charity aims to equip them with the skills they need to make a successful transition into adulthood. During the day, a group of 15 teenagers came in to gain a better understanding of the different career paths available within sport and were even tasked with coming up with their first ever campaign pitch. A rewarding day for everyone involved! ⚽ #TeamWass

𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞'𝐬 𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲: 𝐴 𝐿𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝐹𝑟𝑜𝑚 Thayer Lavielle (𝐸𝑉𝑃 - 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒) ✍️🎉 "It’s amazing what intention, investment and action can do to effect real change. Today marks the 5th anniversary of The Collective – the women-focused impact and advisory business that I have been privileged to help launch and lead at Wasserman. What started as a conversation and a side hustle has grown into a global practice that works through our core business to drive change. I feel humbled and privileged to work alongside the smartest, most dedicated team of colleagues, all in support of growing The Collective for true equitable change for women. Over five years, I have watched as the world woke up to inequity and to the incredible skill and prowess of women in sports . I have ridden alongside brands as they looked for ways to invest in women, looking for more guidance and confidence; as rights holders have re-established their true and growing value; as “talent” realized their true power to effect change. At The Collective, we have asked questions and more questions, gathered academics and other experts to find answers. We have looked to and gathered our women friends, new and old, from across the world to stress the importance of connection and community. We all rise together. We learned and developed tools, services, methodologies, best practices and guides that are aimed at giving organizations every reason and rationale to invest in women. We have tried to be humble partners in the pursuit of change. While women’s sports have emerged as a truly profitable investment and as new businesses grow, my sincere hope is that the industry can continue to work together for change. We have certainly made great progress, but we have not yet arrived. Like all things at Wasserman, the journey to #TheCollectiveImpact over 5 years was forged with so much help and support. A very special nod to Casey Wasserman, Michael W., Elizabeth Lindsey, Lenah Ueltzen-Gabell, Shelley Pisarra, Jason Ranne, Lindsay Colas and Dan Levy, who were our early and stalwart supporters. Their unwavering commitment to the business continues today. There are so many more amazing people to acknowledge who have devoted hours, brainpower, enthusiasm, connections and belief in what we were building. To all of you – Thank you. And to the rest of the incredible team Danielle Smith, Destiny Washington, Valerie Tyson, Vered Koren, Victoria Monk, Jenna Archer, Harriet Young, Molly Oretsky, Laura Waters-Brown – let’s keep crushing. What’s next, you ask? The Collective will spend much of the next few years continuing to scale our efforts across the world and across industries. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with the opportunity for change – which ultimately reminds me of how far we still have left to go." https://lnkd.in/gcJQ3Hft | #WeAreTheCollective #TheCollectiveImpact

𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 #𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐖𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 ⚾️ 🏟️ From the London Stadium transformation, to six #TeamWass clients competing in a two day event, this year saw our hardworking team make their presence felt at the MLB World Tour London Series, as the New York Mets took on the Philadelphia Phillies. With over 100,000 general admission ticket sales and 5,000 hospitality direct sales made, the two-game series welcomed close to a combined total of 110,000 fans. Our partnership with the MLB continues to go from strength to strength, and we can’t wait to host many more remarkable events like this in the future. Until next time...
