Explore Tualatin Valley (ETV), the destination marketing organization (DMO) for Oregon’s Washington County, recently announced Claire Fisher as its new chief marketing officer. Prior to joining ETV, the Beaverton native was a senior account director for Sparkloft Media where she spent a large portion of her career working with DMOs, as well as travel and tourism clients, helping them through campaign development and launches and providing ongoing support for their social and creative needs. “After working on the agency side for nearly 20 years, I’m excited for this change,” Fisher shared about her decision to transition to ETV. “Having partnered with Explore Tualatin Valley while at Sparkloft and supporting the team through their recent rebrand and campaign launch, it feels natural to join the ETV team and expand my understanding of the gorgeous region.” Proficient in producing and executing marketing plans and strategies, as well as her extensive experience with various channels, verticals, and cross-functional teams, Fisher’s versatility and strategic mindset are a valuable asset to any project. “We’re thrilled to welcome Claire Fisher to Explore Tualatin Valley. Her expertise in destination marketing, combined with her local roots in the region will make her an invaluable member of the team,” said Dave Parulo, CEO and president of Explore Tualatin Valley. The New York Times named Hapa Pizza as one of the 22 best pizza places in the US; the Beaverton restaurant was the only Pacific Northwest restaurant to make the list. Hapa Pizza started at the Beaverton Farmers Market (and they're still there every Saturday) and is known for its Asian-inspired toppings. #hapapizza #beaverton #exploretualatinvalley

Explore Tualatin Valley's “Near and Dear” campaign won a Silver Cascadia Creative Award for Integrated Campaign Excellence. The Near and Dear campaign was created by ETV’s creative agency of record, Sparkloft Media, to promote Tualatin Valley as a travel destination by highlighting the region’s wineries, outdoor activities and cultural experiences by showcasing Washington County as more than just the “Portland suburbs,” but a vibrant destination in its own right. “I am grateful for our team and our agency who worked together to bring this new brand and campaign to life,” said Dave Parulo, president and CEO of Explore Tualatin Valley. "We are deeply honored to receive the Silver Cascadia Creative Award for our 'Near and Dear' Campaign. WE'RE NOT TAPPED OUT: A TAP SEASON RECAP Explore Tualatin Valley's new craft beer awareness program, Tap Season, concluded April 30. This three-month promotion created awareness of Tualatin Valley's breweries by showering the local market with advertising, including bus tails on busses in the Washington County area that exclaimed, "When it Rains, We Pour"! In addition to a robust advertising effort, four different activation events took place, including "Sip + Shop" at Bridgeport Village, a Hillsboro Hops-themed party at Breakside Beaverton, and "Alpaca Happy Hours" at Hillsboro Downtown Station and Stickmen Brewing in Tualatin.
