WAPOR 2024 Keynote Roundtable on Humanity The third keynote event of the conference is taking place today and is dedicated to humanity in public opinion research. Humanity refers to humankind as a whole, it signifies human love and compassion towards each other. If Liberty reminds us of all people’s right to be heard, and Quality urges all of us to adopt the highest standards when serving the people, then Humanity must have provided us with the ultimate purpose for upholding Liberty and Quality. The Keynote Roundtable will be moderated by WAPOR President Robert Chung In preparation to this roundtable, WAPOR President Robert Chung called for a voluntary video input from all members. A number of colleagues responses to this call by sending their video clips with the considerations and ideas on humanity in public opinion research. Today marks last day of the 77th annual WAPOR conference, which was held in Seoul, South Korea. I am happy to have had the opportunity to present our research, listen to interesting presentations, reconnect with dear colleagues, and meet some great people. It has been an honor to serve as the national representative at WAPOR for my country, Georgia GORBI. Big kudos and congratulations to WAPOR for organizing such a successful conference.

I must have taken 500+ photos during my trek to South Korea and will upload those elsewhere. After a great deal of reflecting on so many outstanding experiences, I must highlight the people first and foremost. Beyond the many incredibly hospitable Koreans I met, I was fortunate enough to catch up with a former Mitofsky Fellow (Sang Lee, bottom right), Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell Executive MBA Americas classmate Alan Han, MBA (bottom left), and my illustrious panel participants, peers and friends (L>R) Vaidas Morkevičius , Christof Wolf, Daniel C. Tsang, Seok-Ho Kim; Dr. Lydia Repke, Won-ho Park, and Bonnie Dr. Wolff-Boenisch. Thank you for a remarkable time in Korea at WAPOR 2024. 🇰🇷🧡

The Saudi Center for Opinion Polling SCOP presented today at the 77th Annual Conference of the World Association for Public Opinion Research WAPOR in Seoul, South Korea. Saud Alghamdi and Cees Faber addressed an engaged audience and shared insights on the inter-relationships between the performance, importance and knowledge of indicators of societal change. #PollingToEmpower

Had the privilege of presenting my Final Year Project at the 77th WAPOR (World Association for Public Opinion Research) Conference at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul yesterday with Carmen Leong. #WAPOR2024 I was excited when we first pitched the idea of covering political scandals to Prof Saifuddin Ahmed almost a year ago, and am absolutely thrilled that I had the chance to share our work with some of the top public opinion researchers and academics, whose presentations have been so insightful and inspiring. Thank you to Prof Saif for your guidance and encouragement and to the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (Nanyang Technological University Singapore) for the amazing opportunity to fly to Seoul. While I'd love to chance to do more research in the future, for now, it's back to the newsroom...

I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to present at WAPOR’s 77th annual conference at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. I talked about the public perception of the value of surveys in the context of Mexico's 2024 electoral landscape.

My first WAPOR conference in the new role as WAPOR Council member. Amazing location in Seoul, South Korea brought more attention to the survey research in Asia Pacific region. The global reach of WAPOR is only one of many benefits of being a member!
