Proud to have made an impact on health and wellbeing alongside our partners at Cencora!
Community impact focused relationship builder | Connector and Collaborator | Fierce Advocate for Making the World a Better Place
Wow was last week amazing! I got to be a part of so many opportunities to give back to communities and really come together with team members and customers of Cencora to put purpose into action! In Orlando at our human health and animal health distribution centers volunteered making buddy bags for children in hospitals and toys for shelter dogs and cats. Huge shout out to Ken Hardy, Donnie Smith Jr., Lashay McIntosh and Michael Langford and the more that 100 team members that volunteered their time. I had an amazing site visit to K9 PARTNERS FOR PATRIOTS INC in Brooksville, FL and got to see their program in action. K9 Partners for Patriots trains service dogs for veterans battling PTSD, TBI and MST. Seeing a training class in action both at their facility and out in the real world was inspiring and really made my summer! Thank you to the whole team! Then it was on to ThoughtSpot, Good Neighbor Pharmacy's annual gathering for independent pharmacists. During the show attendees packed 500 wound care kits with International Medical Corps via Visit.org and our Foundation partner Dogs Inc. brought service dogs in training to show off their skills and bring some puppy love to attendees. Recipients of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarship, funded by the Cencora Impact Foundation and Good Neighbor Pharmacy, were in attendance which is a scholarship program for students attending Pharmacy School to receive their PharmD. A jam packed week but seeing all the ways Cencora is giving back in action will keep me going for a long time!

On July 25, National Intern Day, Curls on the Block successfully engaged Comcast interns in a volunteer project. The highlight of this project was a “Shark Tank”-style pitch contest, where young entrepreneurs presented their business concepts. It was a chance for Comcast interns to offer valuable feedback and insights to these budding entrepreneurs. #nationalinternday #employeeengagement #socialimpact https://lnkd.in/ep8WXypf
