About us
The Village Institute is a holistic family development center for refugee and immigrant families in Northwest Aurora. We help families build wealth, worth, and wellbeing by bringing family advocacy, resource navigation, career readiness training, and mental health support all under one roof. We also operate The Little Village School for Young Children right here onsite, ensuring that families have high-quality care and education for their children. Our mission is to cultivate a multigenerational ecosystem which uplifts the power of refugee and immigrant families and brings them closer with their neighbors.

As a daughter of Cambodian refugees, I am constantly inspired by the community of #coloradans and organizations that work to support our refugee and immigrant neighbors who we know are smart, skilled, and have all the tenacity in the world. The Village Institute is one of these organizations where I currently serve as board chair, and we are kicking off a fundraising campaign to Bring the Little Village "Back to School"! The Little Village is an early learning space for children from more than ten different countries - all in one classroom, all supported by refugee and immigrant teachers who support the languages spoken by families. We are currently redesigning the model of The Little Village in partnership with Montessori on Wheels, and we will be reopening in January 2024. We need support to make this happen. As we kick off our campaign, be the first to help us unlock a $10,000 match by investing in refugee and immigrant mothers and children. Learn more at https://lnkd.in/g5Y5xZBz
