Recently, our Trenton team worked to put together hygiene bags for the Rescue Mission of Trenton. 🏠 The Mission has been serving the Trenton community for over a century and includes a shelter, a behavioral health center, recovery center, vocational development services, supportive housing, outreach, a food pantry, and a thrift store. We're proud to support our Trenton community. Kudos to the team for this effort!

In recent years, more than 330 universities and colleges have established climate action plans with aggressive targets, including becoming 100% carbon-neutral campuses by 2050 or sooner. Across the country, academic institutions are using district energy to meet the goals set in their sustainability plans and keep their campuses operating smoothly. Our Kendall facility is undergoing an exciting transformation!⚡ Check out this clip of the progress that's been made on the installation of our 42MW #electricboiler. Huge kudos to our teams that have been dedicated to completing the structural steelwork, safety rails, auxiliary pumps, boiler trim, steam piping, and valves that will integrate the boiler into the facility's existing systems. We're proud to be electrifying our systems to provide carbon-free energy to our Boston and Cambridge customers.

Congratulations to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy class of 2024 🎓 We're proud to celebrate the three Vicinity team members that graduated this week! Congratulations to our Metering Supervisor Carmen DeAngelis, who earned his Masters of Facilities Engineering and graduated with the highest honors. Congratulations to our Plant Technicians Ryan Laliberte, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Facilities Engineering, and Jeff Wheeler, who also earned his Bachelor of Science in Facilities Engineering. Vicinity's MMA alumni Phil Gaspar, C.E.M® and Don Silvia attended the graduation to cheer on Carmen, Ryan, and Jeff. We are thrilled to announce a long-term renewal of our partnership with leading Boston-based higher education institution Emerson College. This partnership sets a new benchmark for campus sustainability, with Emerson becoming the first college to convert 100% of their heating operations by implementing Vicinity’s carbon-free thermal energy solution, eSteam™. "This project marks a pivotal moment in Emerson College’s journey towards environmental responsibility and sustainability,” said Emerson President Jay Bernhardt. Located in the heart of Boston’s Theater District, Emerson College sets the standard for sustainability in higher education. The college’s expansive 1.5 million-square-foot campus will use Vicinity’s carbon-free eSteam™ for all its heating and hot water requirements, making Emerson’s thermal operations carbon-neutral. To celebrate the longest day of year, Vicinity's Chief Sustainability Officer Matt O'Malley joined The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) and Executive Director of SBN Devi Ramkissoon on June 20th for their Summer Solstice Celebration. ☀️ Matt spoke to the network about the importance of the Triple Bottom business model of people, planet, profits, and about our collective role in reducing climate change.
