🚛 From behind the wheel to back on his feet! 🚶♂️ Meet Glen, a 55-year-old truck driver who overcame a severe #stroke with determination and the help of our amazing team at Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital. When Glen arrived at Ballard, he faced challenges with mobility and daily activities. But after weeks of intensive rehab, he's now walking with a cane, dressing himself, and even climbing stairs unassisted! Glen's journey is a powerful reminder that with the right support and a can-do attitude, there's always hope for recovery. 🌟 Vicki Hoover: A Story of Resilience 🌟 Over several months, Vicki Hoover faced numerous medical challenges that could have left anyone feeling defeated. But not Vicki. After suffering a stroke, Vicki sustained a fall months later when moving into her own apartment before being diagnosed with respiratory failure and placed on a ventilator. Transferred to Vibra Hospital of Fargo, Vicki made incredible progress in her recovery. Despite being unable to walk or perform daily activities independently at first, Vicki's determination shone through. She worked tirelessly with our physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Today, Vicki can walk 180 feet with a walker, is independent in self-care, and has regained much of her speech. Ready for the next step, she will continue her recovery at an inpatient rehab facility before returning to her new apartment. Vicki's positivity and hard work are truly inspiring. We are proud to have been a part of her journey.
