Hurricane Beryl | 7:01am est 07/08/24 Hurricane Beryl has intensified into a Category 1 storm with winds reaching 80 mph. Making landfall near Bay City, Texas, Beryl's impact is being felt well beyond the center of the storm, with gusts extending far east. Rainfall is a significant concern, especially for Houston, where areas could receive over 6 inches in the next 24 hours. Coastal regions experienced #storm #surges estimated at around 7 feet at the point of landfall. Beryl is expected to weaken as it moves further inland and should exit Texas by late tonight.

Hurricane Beryl Hits Mexico with Force #Hurricane #Beryl has made landfall, bringing intense winds to Mexico’s coast. A weather station near Playa del Carmen recorded wind gusts of 81 mph, as reported by the National Hurricane Center. Further north, in Cancún, gusts range between 40 and 50 mph.
