Last week marked an exciting milestone for VerdeGo Aero as our team immersed themselves in the Vertical Flight Society's 80th Annual Forum & Technology Display. From insightful discussions to innovative showcases, the event proved to be a pivotal moment in shaping the future of vertical flight. Reflecting on our team's experience, VerdeGo Aero CEO Eric Bartsch emphasized the significance of the event: “VFS 80 was a great opportunity for VerdeGo to engage with both current hybrid-electric customers and new ones. As the electric aircraft market rapidly shifts toward hybrid power, it is an exciting time for our team to be in the middle of the next revolution in aircraft propulsion.” With over 50 speakers, 65 exhibitors, and 275 technical papers, the forum provided a platform for VerdeGo to connect with industry professionals and explore the latest advancements in vertical flight technology. During the event, our team members Riccardo Roiati and David Eichstedt had the opportunity to showcase our VH5 engine's performance analysis and contribute to discussions on VTOL technology. "It was noteworthy at VFS 80 how many of the next-generation aircraft programs are now flying full-scale prototypes," Bartsch commented. In a discussion on VTOL developments and hybrid-electric power, Eric joined fellow industry leaders to share insights on benefits, challenges, and the transformative impact VTOL and hybrid-electric aircraft have on the aviation industry. Emphasizing the rapid shift towards hybrid power, Eric expressed his excitement about VerdeGo's role in driving the next revolution in aircraft propulsion, saying: "VerdeGo is one of a handful of companies that have been operating full-scale hybrid powerplants for several years, and we have delivered hybrid systems to airframers for both ground and flight testing as the industry makes this significant step into demonstrating the full potential of electric/hybrid aircraft." Our presence at the forum emphasizes our dedication to pushing the boundaries of electric and hybrid aircraft technology. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Vertical Flight Society's Forum 80, where we connected with fellow aviation enthusiasts and gained invaluable insights into the future of vertical flight. As we continue to innovate and collaborate, VerdeGo remains committed to shaping a more sustainable and efficient aviation future. #VFS2024 #Forum80 #VerdeGoAero #eVTOL #Hybrid #HybridElectric #SustainableAviation

With the Vertical Flight Society's (VFS) Forum 80 in full swing, we are excited to continue networking with fellow aviators! ✈️ Yesterday our R&D Engineer, Riccardo Roiati, had a great discussion about the VH-5 Hybrid-Electric Turbofan Engine and its performance analysis. In closing thoughts following the discussion, he highlights "we showed that a tiltrotor equipped with two VH-5 hybrid powerplants and Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) can deliver on the HSVTOL mission requirements for high-speed cruise of 450 knots, VTOL, and tactical mobility while showing great payload capabilities that are far superior to a conventional propulsion approach." 🚁 If you would like to hear more on eVTOL and how these systems work, attend Riccardo's presentation this afternoon at 4:00PM EDT during Technical Session C, Advanced Vertical Flight II. Join the discussion as he speaks on "Why it Takes more Energy to Decrease Rotor/Propeller Noise for eVTOL Aircraft." 🎙️🛩 #VFS2024 #Forum80 #VerdeGoAero #eVTOL #Hybrid #HybridElectric #SustainableAviation
