August is dedicated to reducing operational emissions and pursuing decarbonization efforts across the commercial real estate industry. Air is a shared resource vital for our collective well-being; Verdani believes we should all take steps toward reducing emissions to improve air quality and promote climate stability. Global activities, including construction and building management, have led to surplus amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The dramatic increase in emissions has led to climate change, habitat alterations, and geopolitical tensions.   For our collective success and the prosperity of future generations, reducing our emissions is a pivotal step toward ensuring a stable climate and a bright future.

Did you know that the state of California, where Verdani is headquartered, can and has generated more than 100% of the state’s electricity demand at various points throughout the year? Solar, wind, geothermal, and hydropower comprise California’s booming renewable energy capacity – providing green energy for the United State’s most populous state.  This achievement highlights the potential of renewable energy and demonstrates the feasibility of a clean energy grid. This news empowers us as we continue to advise clients in the built environment on strategies to decarbonize their energy usage. How are you helping to conserve water at work or home this summer? July is 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, which is the perfect time to evaluate water usage and waste. As we continue to experience hotter, drier summers, it is crucial to champion water conservation across the built environment and beyond. During this hot summer season, here are a few ways to conserve water while also ensuring proper hydration: -Capture rain water for your outdoor patio plants that don't benefit from rain or sprinklers -Adjust timers on your landscape to early morning or late at night, avoiding the peak heat of the day -Ensure water zones are not overlapping or watering pavement resulting in waste and runoff - Opt for plants that are native to your area and require less external resources - Upgrade to water efficient fixtures (indoors and outdoors) Join us in conserving water and making a difference. Every drop counts, and together we can ensure a sustainable future. Let's all do our part—reduce, reuse, and save water today for a better tomorrow.
