Momentous activation of Army unit to meet the threats and challenges of the future battlefield https://lnkd.in/eqWS4WPG FORT EISENHOWER, Ga. – Lt. Col. Luis Etienne, commander of the 11th Cyber Battalion (Leviathans), 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber), hosted an activation ceremony for “Charles” Company (Capybara), 11th CY, in the Eisenhower Conference and Catering Center, July 11. The activation ceremony included an introduction of the new Capybara command team Capt. Sean Cushman and 1st Sgt. Terry Spangler.

On July 9, 1918, Congress established the rank and grade of Warrant Officer while establishing the Army Mine Planter Service as part of the Coast Artillery Corps. Today’s Warrant Officer Corps comprises 47 different specialties in 17 branches – including intelligence, aviation, cyber, logistics, engineering and even Army bands. The Army Warrant Officer is a self-aware and adaptive technical expert, combat leader, trainer, and advisor. Through progressive levels of expertise in assignments, training, and education, the WO administers, manages, maintains, operates, and integrates Army systems and equipment across the full range of Army operations. WOs are innovative integrators of emerging technologies, dynamic teachers, confident warfighters, and developers of specialized teams of Soldiers. They support a wide range of Army missions throughout their careers.
