Mahlon Smith has been a Travelers Aid Volunteer for more than a year. He chose to volunteer to help at Will Rogers World Airport because he wanted to do something worthwhile that helps others. He is retired from government service, and he enjoys pen making, cycling, plastic modeling, and wood working in his spare time. Mahlon was recently recognized for his special help to a traveler in need. He went above and beyond to assist, and as a result, a letter of "thanks" was sent to Travelers Aid. His favorite thing about volunteering is getting to meet so many interesting people! His smiling face and helpful nature make traveling much easier at the airport.
