Katie Edenfield, the team physician for the UF swim and dive team, will be the head physician for the 2024 USA Olympic swim team. Dr. Edenfield has been working with Team USA for years but this is the first time that she will be going to the Olympics. She will assist with health checks pre- and post-competition and on-site medical care during the games.

Nancy Padilla-Coreano, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the UF Health Department of Neuroscience, has been named a recipient of the 2024 McKnight Scholar Award. This award is for young scientists who have begun establishing their own independent laboratories and research careers and have demonstrated a commitment to neuroscience.
