At a recent briefing in Palo Alto, Alison Kamhi from the Immigration Legal Resource Center highlighted the profound impact of immigration policies on our region, noting that about 40% of residents in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties were born outside the U.S. Leaders from Jewish Family Service of San Diego, Asian Law Alliance, Coastside Hope, and the City of San José shared stories of resilience and innovative partnerships that are making a difference. Public-private collaborations are proving essential to creating effective, durable solutions to the immigration issues facing the country.
