Our Premiere Insurance client is seeking a Vice President of Liability.The Candidate needs to be technically and operationally strong. (will be reviewing reports, developing managers, drive timely reserve practices, settlement authority, focusing on metrics, interacting with several Business Units across the organization – UW, actuarial, legal department) Lines of business: GL, EPL, professional liability, product liability, premises, commercial auto.
Salary ( $215,000.00 to $230,000.00)
Must sit in ( NYC, NJ or Philadelphia area)
Responsibilities
Provide vision and leadership to the Claims organization & complex claims in accordance with the company’s strategic direction
• Cultivate a departmental culture that excels in communication and collaboration
• Drives the development, implementation and continuous planning, organizing and leading of all claim programs, metrics, processes, results and initiatives
• Leads, directs and has full management accountability for Claims staff with an emphasis on talent management and succession planning in accordance with corporate strategic direction

Qualifications
Demonstrated people management and development skills in a service/account management role
• Detailed technical knowledge of general liability claims handling with the ability to advise Casualty Claims Examiners on the handling of complex injury and coverage cases
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to analyze, organize, and present information in a clear and succinct manner
• Ability to take part in active strategic discussions
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
