About us

The Faces of Depression Foundation is one of Poland's most active NGOs in the field of mental health. We run 7 programs of free remote psychological and psychiatric assistance for Poles and Ukrainians: children and adolescents, pregnant and post-partum women, cancer patients and their families, and adults in mental crisis. The foundation's specialists provide almost a thousand free consultations per month. The “Faces of Depression for Ukraine” program was launched by the foundation within four days of the outbreak of the war, providing immediate access to professional remote psychological and psychiatric assistance to Ukrainian citizens both residing on Polish territory and remaining in their own country. The program is implemented with financial support from Nationale-Nederlanden. The program is very innovative, using new technologies to provide psychological and psychiatric assistance to people from every corner of Poland and Ukraine. The team of specialists also includes refugees from Ukraine. The coordinator of the program is a refugee woman from Ukraine. The Foundation has also launched a Helpline: 22 290 44 42. More and more people who struggle with depression and anxiety disorders are calling for help. Consistently for years, the foundation has been organizing a nationwide social campaign, “Faces of Depression. I don't judge. I accept.", which over the years has already involved more than 60 well-known people - actors, musicians, writers, TV journalists and prominent specialists in mental health.
