Try to tell that to someone who designs cars. The marque's latest product is pinned as a noteworthy Tesla competitor, but electrifying the fleet is coming with growing pains.

Six Flags and Cedar Fair have merged in an $8 billion amusement park deal, hoping to become stronger competitors to Disney theme parks and Universal Studios. The newly formed Six Flags Entertainment has 42 locations in 17 states, including the most water parks of any theme park operator in North America. Roller coaster enthusiasts are eager to see how the merger impacts ticket prices. Six Flags, which has long struggled, raised prices in 2022 to $35.99 from just under $29. But on the flip side, Cedar Fair dropped its admission price last year to 80 bucks - its first price cut in nearly two decades.

What do oil changes and taking some time off from work have in common? You're almost certainly not doing either enough. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average American worker in the private sector receives upwards of 10 days of paid vacation after a year of service. However, a 2023 survey from the Pew Research center of nearly 6,000 U.S. workers found that over half of them don't use all of their allotted time off and 49% of those surveyed said they fear falling behind at work. So is PTO just for the faint of heart then? It's quite the opposite according to corporate therapist Dr. Natalie Jones PsyD, LPCC. it's not just struggling retailers that have been forced to pivot in order to adjust to the times. Target has been no stranger to policy changes in recent months. This spring, it issued a store-wide mandate that it would roll back its self-checkout capabilities to customers buying 10 items or less in an effort to reduce theft – both accidental and purposeful. Some Target stores have also been looking into installing cameras on its remaining self-checkout kiosks, which alert customers if they have not scanned an item properly. Others have instituted age limits on some of the more highly-frequented stores, with one Washington, D.C., area location mandating minors must be accompanied by adults in order to gain access to the store. And now, Target says it will change another key payment policy, just as it is in the midst of its promotional Target Circle Week.

Since perhaps February, the Federal Reserve's rate-makers have been adamant that data — and only data — will guide when the central bank stats to cut interest rates. With inflation being sticky at something under 3% a year and the Fed goal of achieving 2% annual inflation, the conventional wisdom was there might be one, maybe two rate cuts in 2024. A few central bankers have suggested there was no need to cut rates at all in 2024. Now, there's talk that rate cuts may come sooner rather than later, and there could be as many as three this year. Two rate cuts seems to be the more likely possibility, but three is starting to make the most sense, according to two investing experts. Here's why.

Two high-profile Wall Street strategists recently lost their positions. Marko Kolanovic of JPMorgan Chase, the chief global markets strategist and co-head of global research, is leaving the bank to explore other opportunities. Mike Wilson of Morgan Stanley is still the firm’s chief U.S. equity strategist, but is no longer its chief equity strategist. These gentlemen have had very successful careers and made many accurate predictions. Still, both have been wrongfully bearish for a couple of years and have been subject to ridicule and criticism. Did these investment professionals suddenly lose their mojo? Did they forget all they have learned about the market over decades? They are key employees at two of the biggest investment banks in the world, but are they now incompetent?
