The Metropolitan Business League invites you to join our Veterans Entrepreneurship Training (VET) program.   This six-month program will include business workshops, leadership seminars and veteran mentors to guide you through the next stage of your business development. Secondly, we got to hear the heart of each candidate, while we decipher who is the best person to lead our great city! Congratulations to JWC Foundation, The Metropolitan Business League and Startup Virginia, Kym Grinnage and the NBC team, Shelby Brown and Dr. Darricka Carter Alexander for a successful event! My wish for anyone leading our great city is that they read and re-read the book, Richmond's Unhealed History by Benjamin Campbell! The 1717 Collective is looking for its first RVA Ecosystem Director. Are you that person? The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Director will support the expansion and growth of the entrepreneurial community, in part by developing and maintaining deep and positive relationships with a variety of regional stakeholders across the private and public sectors to shape and support the evolution and growth of the region’s entrepreneurial and business economy. Additionally, this leader and the resources they will connect will serve as a guide and resource hub for entrepreneurs, helping them learn about and access the tools they need to start and grow their businesses. The 1717 Collective is a team of five awesome RVA organizations working together to strengthen the entrepreneurial community in Richmond, VA. Made up of Startup Virginia, Bridging Virginia, JWC Foundation, The Metropolitan Business League, and Lighthouse Labs RVA, this collective aims to connect and support local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
