It was a spectacular evening at the Questors Club on Friday! The Capuchins hosted the 2nd Annual Questors Club at the Capuchin Center in Milwaukee. The evening consisted of a delicious supper-club style dinner, live and silent auctions, a competitive game of heads and tails, plus plenty of fellowship and fun! Thank you to all who attended and supported the 2nd Annual Questors Club! We are already looking forward to next year and we hope you are too! Fr. Edward Foley, Capuchin, a member of the Province of St. Joseph and Duns Scotus professor emeritus of spirituality at Catholic Theological Union, is leading a new grant-funded initiative using neurosciences to study congregant response to preaching. The initiative, funded by a $1.25 million grant from the Lilly Endowment, will bring together a team of researchers from CTU and the University of Chicago to study what makes for effective, memorable preaching. The learnings will help future preachers adjust their apporach to better adapt their message to connect with contemporary churchgoers. https://lnkd.in/gHaeJ__j
