The source of much of the inequity in how we care for children in this country is rooted in racist and sexist beliefs about the worth of caregiving and who is expected to do that work. On Juneteenth, RCCF recognizes the labor and expertise of millions of Black and Brown women caring for children each day with little financial reward or respect, and the growing movement to transform our policies and systems to rectify that injustice.
