In partnership with LCCF and GiveNKind, the Vernon Area Public Library hosted the quarterly Nonprofit Networkers meeting last week focused on providing local nonprofits with tangible strategies to recruit and retain volunteers. Thank you to our speakers Renee Davis, MNM, Ann Marie Mathis of Keeping Families Covered and Beth Sallmann Zender of Reading Power Inc. for sharing their incredible expertise on volunteer management strategies. We would also like to thank Ashley Johnson of Vernon Area Public Library and Emily Petway of GiveNKind for their leadership and partnership in this networking and workshop series!

The goal of the initiative is to intentionally support efforts to increase household income and access to affordable housing and decrease debt and homelessness. Current programs include the Small Business Growth Initiative, Affordable and Safe Housing, and other programs that are very much aligned with GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment’s mission of creating financial wellbeing for its community members.

Our team would like to express our appreciation of our Board members for their dedication to the Foundation's mission and support of the work we do.
