We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) enabling Hertz Fellows to attend LLNL’s annual National Labs Entrepreneurship Academy, an intensive four-day commercialization program that gives researchers the tools to transfer their research and technologies out of the lab. Hertz Fellow Charles Dove, a fourth-year electrical engineering and computer science PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley, became the first Hertz Fellow to attend the Entrepreneurship Academy this March.

Hertz Fellow and Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor David Karger has built a web browser extension that empowers individuals to flag misinformation and identify others they trust to assess online content. The approach, called the Trustnet browser extension, puts the power to decide what constitutes misinformation into the hands of individual users rather than a central authority. https://lnkd.in/gR9SD4k6
