About us
There are more than 3,000 employees; 550+ active, courtesy and consulting physicians on staff; and close to 100 volunteers who are experienced and trained to meet the healthcare needs of you and your family. The main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, Texoma Medical center operates a number of locations throughout the Texoma region. TMC’s services include multiple Centers of Excellence (breast imaging, cardiology, heart care, orthopedic surgery, stroke, weight-loss surgery and wound care), a Level III trauma center and two freestanding emergency departments, adult and adolescent behavioral healthcare, robotic surgery, maternity care and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, outpatient imaging centers and home health services. Since 2010, our team at TMC Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine have been providing patients diagnosed with complex wounds, both hope and healing. Shirley Robinson has learned that all too well over the past few months. Regarding the care she received, Robinson shares, “I’ve been treated really well. I wish there were more doctors out there like Dr. Masood. She knew exactly what to do. Join us in congratulating Rebecca Cory, RN, as one of our newest Daisy Award recipients! According to her nomination form, "There was a patient who was confused and had no family who came to see her. She was upset and asking about 'the baby'. Becky was concerned for her and tried a 'towel baby' which did not help. Becky went to the store after her shift and bought a baby doll for the patient. She wrapped the baby up in a small blanket, and we presented the baby to the patient. The patient talked to the baby and was pointing out things in the room to it. She then looked at the baby and gave it a kiss on the forehead. Becky was able to help this patient feel less anxiety and be more comfortable. Thank you, Becky!" Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (#PTSD) can happen to anyone. In fact, almost everyone experiences some type of traumatic event in their lives. There are a lot of variables that determine how a person reacts to trauma, both in the moment and after the event is over.
