Happy 811 Day! August 11 (8/11) is a great reminder to always call 811 before you dig. Plus, it's a great opportunity for a fun and educational challenge! Do you know your flag tags? When you call 811, utility lines are marked in your yard. Each color flag represents a different type of underground utility: 🔴 Red: Electric power lines, cables, conduit, and lighting cables 🟡 Yellow: Gas, oil, steam, petroleum, or gaseous materials 🟠 Orange: Communication, alarm or signal lines, cables, or conduit 🔵 Blue: Potable water 🟢 Green: Sewers and drain lines 🟣 Purple: Reclaimed water, irrigation, and slurry lines ⚪ White: Proposed excavation sites (always "white line" where you plan to dig!" 🔴 Pink: Temporary survey markings

Last week, Summit Utilities Arkansas team members had the honor of volunteering at Camp Aldersgate during their spinal disorders camp. Camp Aldersgate provides barrier-free experiences for individuals with special needs. Last year, over 100 team members volunteered at the Foodbank, with many of them volunteering repeatedly, dedicating a total of 328 volunteer hours! Summit Utilities Arkansas is proud to support the Arkansas Foodbank 24th Annual Cereal Drive! The goal of this campaign is to provide cereal for families across the state, especially those with children, during the summer break when schools are closed. 🥣 Our team members volunteered at community donation sites throughout the month of June. Team Summit representing Cabot, Arkansas delivered the final cereal donation, a total of 175 boxes of cereal, along with a check totaling $1000!
