That’s a full size biopod designed for producing plants on Earth (in this case for customer L'Oréal) along with a model of what the system will look like on the Moon! 🚀 SpaceX's Starship stuck it's landing last month.... almost. In its fourth ever launch, Starship made a major improvement in performance compared to it's previous launches. Interstellar Lab, in collaboration with Astrolab, is embarking on an ambitious project named Mission LITTLE PRINCE to cultivate flowers on the Moon. This initiative aims to nurture flowers within transparent, controlled-environment pods on the lunar surface and gather valuable data and images, marking a pioneering effort in multi-planetary life support. For this endeavor, Interstellar Lab has joined forces with Astrolab, which will facilitate the installation of these plant pods using their FLEX (Flexible Logistics and Exploration) rover during Astrolab's Mission 1. This partnership is set to explore the feasibility of sustaining life forms beyond Earth. The core scientific aim of Mission LITTLE PRINCE is to assess how the lunar environment influences the physical and molecular traits of plants. Interstellar Lab views this mission as a crucial stride towards broadening space opportunities for clients on Earth and, ultimately, realizing the vision of creating a Moon-based garden. There is no doubt that we will continue to see its applications across all sectors, helping to solve some of humanity's biggest challenges. In a recent news release, NASA pledged to use AI safely and responsibly. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson stated, "There's a lot of risk with AI, because if it's employed in ways that are not for the betterment of humankind, then it could be disastrous."
