Making in-space transportation abundant

About us

At Argo, we are building infrastructure for the future of space. We believe the next great leap beyond Earth requires re-imagining in-space transportation – transitioning to a new paradigm of abundant, unconstrained movement. We are untethering space operations from Earth by leveraging the moon’s shallow gravity well and accessible water resources. Argo will harvest lunar water and use it as propellant to create a true in-space transportation network. By sourcing propellant from the moon, we will provide the freedom to maneuver throughout space. This freedom will expand the possibilities for space businesses and support permanent human presence beyond Earth. Harnessing Lunar water will help usher in a new era of affordable activity in space.

Thanks to Micah Maidenberg at The Wall Street Journal for a great explanation of the near future of in-space transportation.   "We should view the rocket as the cargo ship regularly coming to port, and then we should have a semi-truck that lives in space and takes that cargo everywhere else." @Robert Carlisle, CEO and Co-Founder of Argo Space.   Falcon 9 revolutionized access to space. Starship and other new “cargo ships” will further increase access to low Earth orbit. Bringing multi-modal transportation to space will change every aspect of missions in space, and Argo is working to make this a reality. We are excited to announce our award of a Direct-to-Phase II contract with SpaceWERX focused on tactically responsive on-orbit capabilities. This will support development of our refuellable, space-resident transport vehicle, the Argonaut. With this dual-use spacecraft, Argo will both provide rapid on-orbit response and logistical transport to GEO and cislunar space.
