Pedal for a Cause! 🌟 We're deeply grateful to Basecamp Fitness San Mateo for hosting Claim Your Mile, an incredible event aimed at raising awareness about mental health issues, reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness, and promoting mental well-being! Mabel*, single Latinx mother to Hugo*, a 10-year-old boy with autism and type 1 diabetes, was referred to StarVista’s Child and Parent Services (CAPS) program by San Mateo County because of a child abuse incident at school. Since receiving care from CAPS, Mabel says she is feeling significantly calmer and less anxious. StarVista's San Mateo County Pride Center empowers the LGBTQ+ community through the collaborations we build and nurture with our clients. We provide a safe space where individuals do not feel ashamed or unwanted; instead, they experience a sense of hope in their lives. We strive to destigmatize mental health, viewing it not as a sign of weakness but as an indication of strength.
