🟢Biodesign 101 for summer students Yesterday, Stanford Biodesign’s director, Josh Makower, delivered a masterclass to summer session students who are interested in becoming innovators. He explained the basics of the biodesign innovation process and how he has applied it to create companies, and also shared examples of how Stanford Biodesign trainees have successfully adopted the process. "If you want to do biodesign, follow a career path you are passionate about, find that thing that inspires you and makes you feel excited: you can be an engineer, a molecular biologist, an attorney, or anything you decide. In this space, your unique skill set is what makes you a great innovator”, said Josh Makower to a group of more than 50 domestic and international students, including high schoolers, undergraduates and graduate students. You can learn the basics of biodesign too with our free online student guide: https://lnkd.in/g-3jedsJ Thank you Stanford Summer Session for the invitation!

I'm proud to share that 5,000 CHW Advocates have now completed free digital training that equips them with advocacy and storytelling skills. CHW Advocates is available in multiple languages and accessible online or in person. When I joined CHIC almost five years ago, none of this training infrastructure was in place. What started as a nebulous idea to train CHWs as advocates has now blossomed into an engine for self-organizing, agency-building, and empowerment. This work was made possible by many exceptional collaborators at Community Health Impact Coalition and Stanford Center for Health Education. And I'd be remiss not to mention the many amazing technology tools that enable us to reach CHWs around the world. Firebase, Strapi, Cloudflare, Twilio, DigitalOcean, Amplitude, Hevo Data, Looker, the entire Google suite, and many more. Proud to be always learning and always innovating to make proCHWs the norm worldwide! Join the #proCHW movement as an Advocate today: https://lnkd.in/eAsVSgR3
