What an honor to be with the nonprofit sector leaders in Tennessee this week for the Tennessee Nonprofit Network Member Meeting!

It was an honor to attend the American Nurses Association Leadership Summit in National Harbor, Maryland last week. Senior Governance Advisor Mara Winters and I presented an interactive session entitled The Board Chair - CEO Partnership Navigating the Journey to Excellence. During our time there, we were thrilled to be able to sit in on a few sessions for the ANA Board Chairs and loved having the chance to see Tina McRae Phelps present resources on the ANA Standards for Excellence program with the group of leaders assembled.   The American Nurses Association has been a Standards for Excellence replication partner for nearly ten years!  

Our Licensed Consultant Training was a success! We were elated to have so many high caliber #nonprofit participants from across the country making connections and taking their commitment to excellence to the next level by becoming licensed consultants! At our dinner with existing LCs, we had over 450 years of collective nonprofit experience in the room 🤩! Congratulations to our new licensed consultants! We can't wait to see you apply the best practices you learned to your organization's playbook.

It was wonderful to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the Standards for Excellence program last week at Maryland Nonprofits Annual Conference--So much gratitude to Peter Berns who had the great visionary leadership that led to the establishment of the program and participated in last week's celebration! And, so much gratitude to the nonprofit leaders from throughout Maryland and the nation that work day in and day out to hold themselves and their nonprofits to the highest standards so that all communities can thrive!
