What an absolutely incredible day with the opening of the Clark Family Branch. Three thousand people have already been through the doors. Libraries were always my favorite place in every school. They were a safe place for an ADD kid that was not a good student. Even during the brief 5 weeks that I went to college, I spent most of my time in the library. That’s why we’re tremendously excited to announce – the GRAND OPENING of the Clark Family Branch! We celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, fun activities, and a chance to explore this incredible space. During a recent interview I recall Kristen Sorth making an off the cuff tagline for the modern day library..."Libraries are LOUD" and that held true today at the Grand Opening of the Clark Family Branch, the crown jewel of the St. Louis County Library! I would put our library system up against any in the country and I adore watching how easily my kids fall in love with all our library has to offer - books, learning, community and so much more. The Your Library Renewed campaign has been 10+ years in the making but what an achievement for our community. I'm so proud of my good friend Kristen and her steadfast leadership. Kristen, her team and our library systems are community treasures. Don't waste time experiencing all the SLCL has to offer!

We were honored to be part of today's official ribbon cutting ceremony for the St. Louis County Library's Clark Family Branch! The new, 74,000-square-foot branch includes the Object Computing Creative Lab, which provides technology that empowers through its high-tech creative space. With a focus on fostering leadership and tech proficiency for kindergartners through teens, our Unity Team showcased hands-on open source labs and served as technical guides to use the music and creative media.
