About us
Spirit Human Resources is a cloud-based HR outsourcing provider helping businesses succeed through high-touch human resources, employee benefits, payroll and risk management. Spirit is defined as those qualities regarded as forming the definitive or typical elements in the character of a person, nation or group. Spirit Human Resources was born out of a true passion for delivering high quality human resources, employee benefits, payroll and risk management services with a dedicated Spirit of customer service. Through their more than 40 years combined experience in the PEO industry, Spirit HR founders Dale Hageman and Marilyn Conyer developed a true passion for serving and supporting businesses through high-touch, high-quality PEO services. They have channeled that passion into Spirit HR, creating a decidedly client-centric culture where the word "partner" truly defines how they work with their clients. While many PEOs may offer similar services on paper, the spirit – the heart – is the intangible factor that makes the great PEOs rise above the rest. It is that Spirit for exceptional service and dedication to helping businesses thrive and grow that makes Spirit HR different from other PEOs. Businesses who have benefitted from the passion and dedication Spirit HR's staff pours into its clients can attest to the positive impact it makes on everything from culture to the bottom line.

The deadline is quickly approaching. This regulation will raise the salary threshold for white-collar exempt employees from $684 to $844 per week. The FLSA white-collar exemptions apply to individuals in executive, administrative, professional, and some outside sales and computer-related occupations. Some highly compensated employees may also qualify for the FLSA white-collar overtime exemption. To qualify for this exemption, white-collar employees must satisfy the standard salary level test, as well as the job duties test. This salary level is a wage threshold that white-collar employees must receive to qualify for the exemption. Starting July 1, 2024, the DOL’s final rule increases the standard salary level from: - $684 to $844 per week ($35,568 to $43,888 per year); and - $107,432 to $132,964 per year for highly compensated employees. On Jan. 1, 2025, the standard salary level will then increase from: - $844 to $1,128 per week ($43,888 to $58,656 per year); and - $132,964 to $151,164 per year for highly compensated employees.
