    Some things change. Others stay consistent. Sometimes, you just need to be reminded of the path you were already on. For us, it's always been about the people. Last week, we held our quarterly State of the Company Meeting. It was the first one led by our new President & CMO, Pablo Henderson. When Pablo joined Spherical, he was most drawn to the incredible group of people we've assembled. His reflection on his path is that his niche is marketing for luxury and lifestyle hotels, and his specialty is unlocking the potential of individuals and teams. As he crafted his message for this meeting, it was taking us back to our core, a people-first approach to business. We were excited to roll out our first Spherical Spotlight Award, which honors the incredible work of Anastasiia Cruz Rojas. Nastiia has been a superstar team player, pushing our approach to web design forward. For our State of the Company, we gathered at Adam Wallace's uncle's house in Connecticut, with our Barcelona office gathered together, and team members called in from Paris, LA, Austin, Miami, DC, and beyond. The energy, collaboration, and connection were magnetic. We honored our Spanish connections with the most delicious Paella and spent a perfect May day enjoying the sunshine and pool and relaxing together. While we missed not having everyone there, the energy and connection transcend borders.

    As I reflect on my recent experience participating in the Hospitality 3.0 Symposium conference that META Foundation held this week, I'm filled with inspiration. The profound insights shared has left a lasting impact on me. It's clear that hospitality transcends mere service—it's about fostering connectivity and understanding. The diverse range of topics covered shed light on the transformative power of Hospitality. By bringing together thought leaders and innovators from diverse industries, they emphasized the importance of redefining hospitality on a global scale. Here are a few key takeaways from the event resonated deeply with me: - Prioritize integration over disruption - View AI as a tool for positive impact that is rooted in empathy - Harness wonder to enact meaningful change - Recognize the fundamental human need for belonging - Reframe sustainability as "hospitalability" - Renew sensitivity and live authentically in the present - Nurture communities where everyone feels valued and supported - Understand the pivotal role of community in shaping our world - Balance data-driven insights with the power of human stories - Build culture and tourism while honoring existing cultural identities - Create and preserve authentic brand cultures - Acknowledge that humanity's crises are fundamentally crises of hospitality It was lovely meeting all the wonderful participants. Here are a few key themes Adam noted: • Data-Driven Revenue: eric lutz emphasized the importance of tailoring AI-powered insights to drive targeted messaging and boost revenue. • Hospitality is Everywhere: Morgan Wiley showcased how Union Square Hospitality Group uses technology to elevate the guest experience across all touchpoints. • Data with Purpose: Darius N. stressed operationalizing data with a hands-on approach. He said, "Never run a restaurant from the board room; live it from the floor." • The Human Connection: Shannon Knapp of The Leading Hotels of the World highlighted the enduring power of genuine human connection in marketing.     It was great to host the Independent Lodging Congress Cultivate event yesterday. Kurien Jacob put together a day packed with influential players in the hotel technology space. An ecosystem at the intersection of hoteliers, entrepreneurs and investors shaping the future of hotel technology. A few highlights that stood out from my perspective: - An innovative approach to the connection of IMPACT AND COMMERCE has been created by Lauren Scott-Harris with EARNT. They’ve created a new concept of VIP access to things only accessible through giving back - eric lutz grounded the big picture discussion on data fueling AI, with the important point “the real ART is in REVENUE GENERATION”. Meaning it’s about what you do with the data to deliver the right message to the right customer at the right time. - “HOSPITALITY at every touch point” Morgan Wiley spoke to how Union Square Hospitality Group is leveraging tech to improve hospitality service - Hotels can get BOGGED DOWN WITH DATA “never run a restaurant from the board room, live it from the floor” Darius N. Connected the use of tech to improve operations from the floor. - There’s a clear new race in where payments fall in the tech stack, Tom Botts spoke to this being an important point in REDUCING FRICTION in customer journey - “FOCUS ON HUMANITIY” has been a driving force in marketing for Shannon Knapp of The Leading Hotels of the World. “They don’t want to hear about your product specifications”. - “the pendulum needs to swing back to TOP OF FUNNEL MARKETING” Nick Slavin - “80% of the engineering time is spent on integrations” Dermot Quigley speaking to the massively FRAGMENTED TECH LANDSCAPE. - “we actually want to deliver KICK ASS SERVICE” Kerry Mack expressing a continued need for best in class tech - “NPS is the magic in our underwriting” Steve LeSieur speaking to the importance of customer satisfaction. “The ALCHEMY is in WORD OF MOUTH”.
