On Saturday 8th June we did an experiment. We have been doing our activations for two years now, we know what works. But what we love more that knowing what works is learning what doesn’t, pushing ourselves further and learning more about how we can use EARNT as powerfully as possible to help the most amount of causes we can. So we set ourselves a new challenge. We wanted to do a school fix up that was bigger and better than ever. We wanted 100 people to give three hours of their time to paint, garden, and tidy Barnes Primary School who, like every other state school in the UK today are struggling with funding. We wanted to remove the burden of maintenance from their balance sheets, show them the love and support of their community and drive some awareness about the challenges that all schools are facing. And we wanted to do it without relying on the seemingly endless supply of kindness that the teachers provide or the fundraising that the parents so often take on (after their own long working weeks). So how did we get 100 people to the school and create £25k worth of value for them? Well that is what EARNT is all about. For those of you that know us, you know that we create exclusive offers with brands that can only be accessed and unlocked once you give your time to the chosen cause. But 100 ETYS (earned thank you’s) be they discounts or offers is a lot for any brand to provide, especially those in a small village in London. So this time, for the first time, we went to multiple businesses in the school’s radius and asked them to help power this work. We chose 6 businesses and asked them to offer 10 ETY’s to their community. These ranged from a limited edition tankard at The Brown Dog (that entitles the owner to their first pint on the house for specific days over the next month) to generous discounts on Blossom Spa services. Each business designed their own ETY And it worked beautifully! The village came out in force, with smiles on their faces. After the work was done the local (The Brown Dog) pub was full of tankards clinking as new friendships were solidified. Our hope and expectation is this is another golden triangle. The school got the work done that will make the teacher’s and children’s environment better and brighter. The community spent the morning helping out but enjoying the work and spending time with one another. And the business now each have 10-15 clients that they will be seeing a lot of for the next month, each of which will be proudly enjoying their ETY, spending money with the business and quite likely telling their friends about their experience and what they learned (and earned). We are learning our formula’s and format’s. We will keep pushing the envelope. And we’ll keep reporting back with our successes, and failures because we are not stopping till EARNT is a global brand and mechanic by which we can all encourage and facilitate these acts of service and kindness while working within the system.

EARNT is coming to Manchester. We couldn't be happier that we are doing it with returning partner Drake & Morgan. Earlier this year we kicked off our collaboration with the team at Drake & Morgan to support an organisation local to the City that helps young carers and patients to be empowered with the skills and experiences to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential. So, together with The Anthologist Manchester we are doing it all again but this time in the North West and this time with local organisation, StateTalking Manchester where we will be connecting young people from Manchester state schools to relatable role models and show them that the path to success doesn't have to be heading to London. To say thank you to everyone taking part, The Anthologist Manchester is offering the very first tickets to a screening with Taste Film this autumn before anyone else as they finally expand to this very cool city. You can sign up https://lnkd.in/duQ8YxfN and we're counting on you to show us what Manchester can do for it's young people.

A seriously limited edition. We have wanted to try a limited edition since we started EARNT. We had seen the queues people stand in outside stores for drops and always thought how much better that time spent queuing could be used…. So we were over.the.moon when one of our first partners Desmond & Dempsey | B-Corp let us know that they had a very special collaboration with an artist in mind that was going to be SO very special that they wanted to make this the ultimate limited edition by having people EARN the access to purchase it. Because when you create something people really really want….they will go the extra mile (or in our case give that bit of time) to get it. They have designed THIS beautiful robe in collaboration with artist Pia Riverola and are asking those that want one to ALSO come and help paint a beautiful mural in a school in west London for the children who’s days could do with brightening up. It’s simple energy conversion from D&D having something people really want - channelling that energy into something people need. So we are live, our first orders are coming in…..and we’ll report back. This is our first so we are expecting a learning curve as with everything we do…. https://lnkd.in/ex6rsPvp

This weekend, One Hundred Shoreditch partnered with change-makers EARNT on a project to makeover the Samuda Community Centre, Club 55 - aka Island Network Hub - in East London. The centre is at the heart of the local community, an anchor for the hundreds of locals who utilise it weekly. Due to restricted budgets, the centre has fallen into a state of disrepair. With the help of our friends at EARNT, we engaged volunteers to join the One Hundred Shoreditch team over the weekend, to make repairs, clean and decorate. The start of our relationship with EARNT and the Samuda Community Centre - a chance to give back to our local community, and bring our team together with EARNT volunteers to make a tangible difference. We are incredibly grateful to our One Hundred Shoreditch team, the EARNT team and all our volunteers, for giving your time this weekend. Big up Chef Adam and team for the tasty grub, to Zaneta and Housekeeping for sorting cleaning products and to Claudia, our Rooms Operations Manager, for handling logistics. Lastly, a huge thank you to Jacqueline, our amazing Regional Director for Environment, Social, Governance, for making this partnership possible! Watch this space to get involved in more community initiatives. #earnt #onehundredshoreditch #loregrouplondon

Two years ago we started turning Lauren Scott-Harris's wonderful idea into EARNT reality. We started by getting people to "Do THIS, get THAT" for the brands they loved including Desmond & Dempsey | B-CorpSoho House & CoDrake & MorganThursdayThe Hagen Project and most recently with ONE HUNDRED RESTROOMS. This mean everyone would come together at a set date, time and place and EARN themselves a wonderful ETY (EARNed Thank You) giving back to lots of good causes. Today we soft launched 'Always On', the new way for people to get involved with EARNT with PRESS Healthfoods and 100 Acres. You can now get your exclusive ETY's from the brands you love or will love by signing up and giving back directly to our partner causes including Age UK Kensington & ChelseaAge UK Hammersmith and Fulham, People's Kitchen and Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team in Notting Hill. All you have to do is go on the website, choose your brand and ETY and then find an activity at a time and location that suits you, sign up and show up and give it 100! EARNT is a movement where we learn to value the things we have, the community we are in through the brands we trust. It's a feel good triangle where everyone wins. This is a big step for us, the first step to global action where you can EARN it anywhere, anytime. We have lots more brands and causes coming onto the platform soon! https://lnkd.in/exPuTTxp

We love telling the story of EARNT and on this episode of Jazz Shapers with Elliot Moss on Jazz FM, our founder Lauren Scott-Harris goes way back starting with the beginning of her career right up to today. You can hear about Lauren the rottweiler, Africa and the journey with Headspace as well as why and how the brilliant idea of EARNT, trying to re-imagine VIP and rewarding good behaviour, not bad, came about. You're probably sick of us saying how excited we are about our next collab but we really are. We love EARNT because it gets the most brilliant people together to do brilliant things that actually make a real difference. Jacqueline Kneebone and Floris Kouijzer from One Hundred Shoreditch are the epitome of this and bring them together with Fatima Fardus and Mamnun Rahman from WellOne/Poplar HARCA and truly wonderful things are about to get done with everyone joining in EARNing the very best that hospitality has to offer. Cannot wait.

I am SO excited about our EARNT x 100 Shoreditch collab. This time next week we’ll be half way through our community Centre fix up on the Samuda estate in the Isle of Dogs. Those joining us are earning VIP hotel status which includes the right to check into a room free of charge on a Sunday night if there is a spare room. Jacqueline Kneebone Floris Kouijzer you have been the dream partners Cc Lavina Liyanage who has made all of this magic happen with her usual brilliance

We loved being there and bringing EARNT to the Independent Lodging Congress community.

Head of Sales | Focused on integrated technology solutions for hospitality and the value it can drive for staff, corporate, owners, and guests

Last week during Independent Lodging Congress #INDIECultivate in NYC I had the opportunity to host. The Cultivate conference is focused on innovation, investment, and technology adoption in the independent hospitality, travel and lifestyle sectors. I was honored to be representing my company Thynk.Cloud with an opportunity to collaborate with leaders and deliver on some thought leadership. Here is Part 1 of my recap - Part 2 coming this week! We kicked off the day with our sneaker contest which Marina Aslanidou won! Followed by an INDIE Talk with Lauren Scott-Harris from EARNT who has brilliantly aligned the power of volunteering and giving back to community with the sought after demands in entertainment, fashion, and travel. Imagine - you could only buy a cool pair of shoes if you had helped clean up the beach, and the waves it creates when people realize what you did to be able to have those shoes :) Next was our first panel: Data is the Fuel that Powers AI Sean Fitzpatrick | Prashanth R. | eric lutz | Rafat Ali The way we are consuming data has not kept up in pace with the amount of data available in travel nor has data been properly combine across departments, and the tricky part is AI is only as good as the underlying data. We need to combine data properly, align it with how to best deliver exceptional hospitality, and in return this will simultaneously drive better experiences and profitability. Second panel: Serving Up Restaurant Tech Joel Montaniel | Darius N. | Morgan Wiley | Byron Lazaroff-Puck Hotel and restaurant guests should be collectively identified as the same guests to provide the best level of service. With demands in restaurants and event software being different than hotels - and other industries having solved for commercialization correctly - it's time for hospitality to do the same :) Partnerships can help push these new boundaries forward! Third Panel: Payments Show Me the Money Daniel Marovitz | Tom Botts | Amanda Huyck /HIKE/ Payments should be seen as a marketing tool - the easier to facilitate, the better experience it is for the customer. It's important to design with the future in mind. Payment didn't come first in the hospitality tech solutions world, so the success of their component first resides on the ease of integration across many solutions, often powering the backend of other solutions, and the right partners help your customer have the best experience. #hospitality #hospitalitytech #conferences #events #NYC #INDIECultivate

This morning we kicked off our collaboration with Lore Group. They want to look after their neighbours in East London and as such we asked people to sign up to come and help renovate the Club 55 (aka Island Network Community Hub and Samuda Community Centre) on the Samuda Estate (and yes for any of you Top Boy fans out there, this is where it was filmed). As the ETY (Earned Thank You), those who join us in this project will get VIP status at One Hundred Shoreditch which is, even if we say so ourselves, a pretty mega deal. A round of drinks on the house on your arrival, a secret link for your reservations at all of their events AND if you have dinner there on a Sunday night and there is an empty bedroom after 8pm - it’s yours completely free of charge. Which means desert can be taken in your room. Unsurprisingly this booked out in minutes but we have lots more LORE coming up so now is a good time to get onto the database!

Well that was quick… Yesterday we released the next activation with The Hagen Project and it booked out in under 4 minutes and now the waiting list is building faster than you can say cappuccino. In case you missed it this will be our second event at a wonderful School in West London where we will bring our EARNT x Hagen ‘army’ to paint, polish, prune and perfect the grounds which are in need of some extra love and attention. Our attendees receive as their ETY (earned thank you) a reusable coffee cup that gets them free coffee for the month AND the person in the line behind them a free coffee. So it seems that all this paying it backwards is really working! Stay tuned for the next event in May - we have more dates we will be announcing very soon and if you don't want to miss out, sign up our newsletter! #changemakers #dogoodfeelgood #kaffeeklub
