Founded in 1983, the Space Foundation is the world's premier organization to inspire, educate, connect and advocate on behalf of the global space community. It is a nonprofit leader in space awareness activities, educational programs and major industry events, including the annual Space Symposium. Space Foundation Headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA, has a public Discovery Center, including El Pomar Space Gallery, Northrop Grumman Science Center featuring Science On a Sphere® and the Lockheed Martin Space Education Center. The Space Foundation has a Washington, D.C., office and field representatives in Houston, Los Angeles and the Florida Space Coast. We're excited to collaborate with the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium for a three-day teacher professional development workshop at the Explora Science Center and Children's Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico, happening from July 9-11. Supported by grant funding from the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium, educators will explore astronomy fundamentals and cutting-edge discoveries, including universe structure, extraterrestrial life, black holes, and gravitational waves. It's a historic day for space! Congratulations to Boeing, United Launch Alliance (ULA) and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration on today's successful launch of the United Launch Alliance #AtlasV rocket and Boeing #Starliner spacecraft. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are en route to the International Space Station for Boeing's first crewed #Starliner flight, carrying 3,500 stunning artworks from 66 countries and 35 U.S. states as part of the mission's payload through our collaborative program with Boeing, Art in the Stars.
